Natasha and Matthew, lovingly known as Matty, hail from Southampton, England. Their engagement was a quiet affair at Matty’s nan’s house in early December 2014. The cold English weather on that day was no harbinger for the wedding that this couple would have. Though they wouldn’t begin planning their wedding for more than a year, there was a warm and sunny future in store for this couple from the very start.
After hearing great things about St. Lucia as a wedding destination, Natasha and Matthew settled on Coconut Bay for their nuptials. From that point, their wedding planning took just five months. The two took full advantage of the assistance and resources available from Coconut Bay’s staff, pulling together an unforgettable event with minimal time and effort. As with everything at Coconut Bay, wedding planning is designed to let our guests relax worry-free, which is just what Natasha and Matthew were able to do.
A Touch of Elegance for the Blushing Bride
Natasha and Matthew chose to hold their ceremony on our picturesque Eternity Beach. This breath-taking location set the perfect stage for a wedding that was sweet and elegant. Natasha chose pale pink as her wedding colour. The delicate hue was set off beautifully by the soft sand and brilliant ocean that formed the backdrop for this special couple’s vows.
The bride opted for a traditional white wedding dress that sparkled in the sun. Altogether, the bespoke details of the day made for the perfect wedding photos. Our photographer Kendall was on hand to capture every moment with what the couple describes as “the most beautiful pictures.”
Must-Have Music and Special Touches
While our wedding planners are prepared to take care of all the event details for our couples, there are always a few stand-out items that the bride and groom want to have a hand in. For Natasha and Matthew, this was the music. Curating their perfect playlist allowed them to set their special day to a soundtrack that perfectly reflected their personalities and the tone that they wanted to set for the day.
Including special gifts from family at home was another important detail, and we made sure that these personal touches found the right place in the wedding. Overall, however, the very best part for Natasha was “Becoming Mrs. Holmes.”
An Unforgettable Meal
All of our wedding packages come with a delicious meal for the reception. Natasha and Matthew dined at La Luna. One of Coconut Bay’s newer offerings, La Luna provides an undeniably romantic atmosphere with Oceanside seating. The seasonal menu includes delicacies like crab legs and Caribbean lobster. Natasha gushed that the “Cake was amazing,” and “Dinner at La Luna was the best meal.” In fact, La Luna left such an impression that the bride said it was the best part of her overall St. Lucia experience.
A Helpful Hand for Every Detail
Weddings at Coconut Bay come with a full staff ready to attend to all of the couple’s needs before, during, and after the wedding. Natasha and Matthew noted that “every single staff member had such good manners.” They complimented their spacious and pristine room, the sparkling pools, and the helpful staff members who were always on hand. Overall, Natasha summed up their stay glowingly, remarking that “Everything was 100% perfect.”
The Day They’ll Never Forget
Natasha and Matthew’s wedding experience was filled with attentive service and carefully coordinated details, from arrival to departure. Thanks to their perfectly planned Coconut Bay wedding experience, this couple departed their blissful beach retreat as husband and wife, which is naturally the best part of the experience.
